out of ideas

*Sigh* yet another pretty boring update...Camp is coming up in a few days, and I will be seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 tomorrow with a friend and his sister...I'm super excited! I'm writing another story/book/whatever, and I like it so far, so I think I'll keep it. It's about a 16-year-old girl who lives on an island in the Pacific Ocean, just off the coast of Australia. She's fairly new at the small school of about 475 students, and makes friends with Sam, short for Sammy, whose mother is not who she seems to be. She bumps into several people along the way whom she'd never dreamed she'd meet. It ends up in a pretty twisted (I hope) climax and resolution. I'm pretty excited to write it. Recently, I've read a few new books, including "The Throne of Fire", by Rick Riordan, "Impossible", by Nancy Werlin, and "Be Mine", by Sabrina James. I recommend all of these, but if you're going to read the Throne of Fire, read the Red Pyramid first, seeing as it's the first book of the series. I learned a new hairdo today too...total lifesaver! You don't need anything but a pencil (if you want one in your hair). Basically, you gather your hair into a loose, moderately high ponytail, and twist it into a bun. Make sure the hair around it on the sides is loose. Hold the bun with one hand, and with the other, take some hair from the side of your head and gently tuck the bun into it. It should stay put. If not, use a pencil, stick it through the bun, and twist a little hair from the side of your head around the tip of the pencil, and it should stay nicely. I also learned how to do a bunch of fancy-shmancy nail things, and cake decorating tips. Throughout the last week of this month, I'll be working on a Harry Potter cake, seeing as it's his birthday on the 31st. I think I'm going to make the Hogwarts Express...or maybe Tom Riddle's diary. Any suggestions???
